Nizam works with light. Artificial studio-light or day light is directed into lines, shapes and surfaces, suggesting physicality and movement. Nizam challenges our view with virtuoso imaginations of objects, all without the use of tricky misperceptions. He skips our usual viewing habits: of capturing light only at the surface, and transforms immateriality into objectivity. The connection between sculpture and space into light-figures is summarised on large scale photography – creations of great aesthetic presence and poetically sensual form.
