«Pyrographie» entitles a serial work developed over the last four years. In a darkened shooting range, the muzzle flash of a hand held firearm exposes light sensitive photographic paper, whilst simultaneously leaving behind fine haptic avulsions and burn marks. Neither the munition, nor the target are pictured, but the actual force. Without a camera, the immediate interaction between cause and effect – an event which only lasts fractions of a second – is captured directly on paper. Thus each piece of work is unique, unreproducible and unbredictable.
